2012 Met Ball - Peplum trend

The peplum trend is not going anywhere as was seen on the red carpet at the Met Ball this year.

Here we have M.I.A with straggly hair extensions and what looks like a dry pink pout.

Sofia Vergara beautifully proportioned in her strapless Marchesa.

Solange Knowles bright and minimal.

Elizabeth Banks confusing me in a peplum from Mary Katrantzou‘s Fall 2012 collection.

Finally Amy Poehler in a Fotini design that may have been more becoming on someone else.

My pick of this bunch is Sofia Vergara for her simple elegance. Solange comes in second for keeping it modern and effortless.
