Jewelry Trends - Modern Vintage

All things old are new again and don't we just love that over here at GoS. Over the past few months the runway has given us a strong showing of vintage patterns and designs in clothing as well as accessories for  the rest of 2012 leading into 2013. There has been a strong shift towards lady like fashion that will become even stronger in 2013. The focus is still on statement pieces with an element of luxury and excess in rich color schemes as well as sparkle. These modern vintage pieces are not designe dto be locked away in a safe for that "special" occassion. These pieces are designed to be worn day or night, casually or formal.

Here are some of the bold and beautiful pieces that will be adorning the decolletage of the discerning, modern woman.

Oscar De La Renta Gave us a collection of pastel beauties in their Fall 2012 collection that can be worn right through spring and summer.

Keep an eye out for multi strands and brooch detail in strong colors like these. From L - R Soft teal green from Erickson Beamon Spring 2012. Oscar De La Renta ruby red gems set against rose gold from their Spring 2012 Collection.

Drop style jewelry reminscent of royalty and luxury is dramatic and eye catching while still very lady like. From L - R we have another Erickson Beamon Spring 2012 piece in shades of coral and bronze. Prada gave us this striking piece in coral and topaz.

Fenton has combined strong modern elements with vintage charm to create some jaw dropping pieces for their Spring 2012 collection.

From L - R Dolce & Gabbana added a gothic element to their Fall 2012 collection with pearls and velvet and the drop pendant while Fallon took the classic pearl choker to new modern heights with its bold panther centrepiece.

Here at GoS we've been working on our own modern vintage pieces working with jewel tones and pastels. We've mixed old and new materials to create one off pieces that are bold and strong and create the illusion of luxury.

Enjoy!
